The “Tara” headpiece is a striking crown made with pure silk abaca fabric which is both fair trade and ethically-made. The crown is framed by wired goose feathers on either side. These have tiny gold toho beads both at the base and threaded onto the feathers. The silk has been painted with real gold leaf and embellished with freshwater pearls and swarovski bicone crysals.
“Tara” takes her name from the Hill of Tara which was the inauguration ceremonial site and the seat of the High Kings in Ireland. From here it is said that a quarter of the landscape of Ireland is visible. Home to Irish mythology, it was considered the most powerful site in Ireland. In other languages and traditions “Tara” is translated as a “guiding light of the soul”.
This headpiece epitomises the powerful beauty of a woman who is confident in carving her own path and who is not afraid to be seen for who she is. Regal and proud, she knows her worth and followed her heart’s desires and is achieving her dreams. The Tara headpiece for a wedding or special occasion will be a piece that will make you feel
